I just want to say that it has been an absolute pleasure listening to Joe’s performances.
Week after week I feel that you are becoming stronger with the mindset.
The meaningful expression that Joe portrayed in this weeks two songs were spot on and IMO were the main reason Joe excelled yet again.
Joe shows us all that there is more beauty in the natural voice than in any other kind of ’stage’ voice.
I also believe that what we heard from Joe is just the tip of the iceberg. As Joe’s singing mind gets stronger, his singing will become more magical and beautiful. But remember, the song (story) always takes precedence over the voice. The voice obeys the mind. The mind is the singer.
About next week:
Joe, if you get a chance to read this before next week I just want to say to you just keep doing what you are doing. The story and emotion of the song is always the most important. Your performances show this to me. About high or higher notes – to be honest, notes shouldn’t come into the mind, nor the sound of your voice.
If you ‘tell the story’ of the song as it was written with true clarity of pronunciation, then the highs and lows won’t matter. If you ’say’ every word of the song as if spoken and with the correct intention then the result will be great. Before you go to sing, dump sound and notes into the bin. Get your heart ready for the story and your mind sharp for the words and most of all sing it for your enjoyment and for the enjoyment of your audience. You already do this in a lot of what you have done.
So in short, when you go to sing, just think and do the one thing – tell the story.
Believe me it will work.
To be honest, you have already won, because you have shown Britain and the world how magical and talented a singer you are and when you strip away all the dances and moves and lights and even the orchestra, you are left with the most beautiful instrument of all, the human voice. At its best and most beautiful, nothing else can compare.

Joe, I think that you are definatly the best singer in the competition and you deserve to win. There is no way that you can lose – i will be voting for you and so will all my family and friends. Your voice is beautiful and I feel like crying when ever you sing the sad songs because you nail them so well. I also think that you are really handsome and if your ever in Birkenhead look me up!

Congratulations to Joe on a fantastic victory over Olly, I’m sure it was pretty close at the end but you can’t replace sheer class with gimics. Joe has the lot, his voice is stunning, pitch perfect, pure & beautiful. He is a gorgeous young man in every sense of the word & I’m no youngster, I picked him out in the auditions & have stuck with him every step of the way.
